During the Pathways: Kurimoto Japanese Garden event, the Matsukaze Chanoyu Association will present a tea offering in the Ikoi no ba. “Matsukaze” means ‘wind in the pines’ – in the quiet of the tearoom, the sound of water in the kettle is similar to hearing wind in the pines. "Cha No Yu" (literally, hot water for tea) is the Japanese art of making and sharing tea.The tea offering will be presented in the ryurei style, meaning guests will be seated atsmall tables. Along with the tea and a sweet, an explanation of the tea ceremony will be provided by Matsukaze volunteers.Tea ticket: $10 plus tax.
Regular admission fees to the Garden apply.
Garden Members get free admission, but must purchase a tea ceremony ticket in advance.
