The Way of Tea - Japanese Culture

Immerse yourself in the beauty of Japanese culture. Start the afternoon with the amazing Kita no Taiko Drummers; enjoy music, martial arts, displays, performances, delicious delicacies; and end the evening by floating a lantern in the pond as darkness falls. New this year, the “Way of Tea” - a demonstration and discussion among cultures that share an appreciation for a shared cup of tea, all in their own unique ways – with representatives of Japanese, Indigenous and South Asian cultures.

Regular admission to the Garden applies. 

No admission charge for Garden Members.

All activities are included with your admission ticket except these add-ons:

• Cultural Food Boxes from Nomiya (advance order required by September 6)
• Cyanotype Workshop (advance registration required)
• Matsukaze Tea Ceremonies (advance registration required directly with the Matsukaze Tea Group)

Cancellation Policy

• Event runs rain or shine. 
• In the event of rain, some outdoor activities will be moved inside.
• No refunds unless the Garden cancels due to extreme weather situations.
